FushionBeads.com offers quite the collection for jewelry design buffs to perfect and even add to their beading/jewelry design techniques by providing readers with a number of different tips for everything from beading to metal work and more.

When you’ve finished going through the gamut of information, they also offer a wide selection of beading, stringing, metal component items and some new intricately designed Filagree items as well.  You’ll want to wander around this site for more than a few hours!

I’ve tacked it to my Dial in FireFox to keep it handy.  Check it out and see what you think.

Busy, busy – Positive works abound

7 10 2008

A while ago I mentioned that I was going to put Positive thinking to the test and see where it landed me.  Well, to put it bluntly, sometimes you have to pace yourself where thinking positive is concerned!  It can take off faster than a slick pig (although I don’t know much about those) and it can really give your head a lot to wonder about.

Since starting back to my positive attitude kick a few weeks ago here are just a few things that have taken place – in no particular order except to say it all started quickly and has continued to just keep on coming!

  1. First and probably most significant would be something I’ve wanted to see happen for someone for a long time – my husband who owns his own business has found himself in a position that allows him to get paid what he’s worth – his income will increase nicely and he’s finally getting to be ‘just the boss’ rather than cook, bottle washer and janitorial staff rolled into one!
  2. I landed some freelance writing gigs – well actually they found me!  That however isn’t the best part – the best part was that I delivered projects that the clients loved and honestly some of the topics had me a little worried about being able to do just that.  So I’m thrilled!
  3. I was given $100 to head off to the casino – yes I know, why would I?  However, I announced to the family that I was going to double that amount and come home with at least $200.  Well, ends up I tripled it and that in itself amazed me.
  4. A friend of my daughter’s had been looking for work for months and hadn’t found anything.  I told her to think positively only a few minutes before she forwarded a Resume to a local Company.  She received a call about an hour later and was hired that day.  Now there was one positive thought that worked fast.  Hopefully it will also work out that quickly when she and my daughter go house hunting.
  5. A few other things that really are not earth shattering but continue to prove to me that what you think is what you reap:

- a little contest win added some dollars to my Paypal account – always a nice surprise;

- found a really great deal on a laptop mouse :) ;

- found all the books I wanted when I went to the Library yesterday – that doesn’t usually

happen;

- I’ve gotten a lot of free coffees thanks to playing taxi to my kids :)

and it never hurts to always be grateful for even the smaller things in life!

I’m working on getting a site up now and actually came across a coupon on the net for a Discount for a provider that I was thinking of going with anyway.  So, the positive attitude continues to bring about positive results.  Always a good thing!

So how was your week?
